Travis Zilg is a 2009 2B/OF/P from Watchung Hills HS, residing in Green Brook, New Jersey, with a lean 5'10"/150 pound frame. Travis was named to the Top Prospect Team. He hits from a slightly open stance with good bat control. Zilg looks to pull the ball. He has gap power potential and makes consistent solid contact. Travis has short arm action from the outfield with an accurate arm at 78 mph. On the mound, he pitches from a sidearm release point with long and loose arm action and minimal effort. His fastball is 78 mph and he has a solid 11-5 curveball with depth. Zilg mixes pitches well and had a good game outing.
