David Earley is a 2008 1B/3B with a 6'2", 255 lb frame from Palmetto, Florida, who attends Palmetto High School. David has a thick strong build. At the plate David has a simple approach from the left side and showed the ability to hit the ball to all fields. His swing tends to get long at times and he really needs to work on keeping his hands inside the ball. David lacks an aggressive approach at the plate and needs to have the mindset that he is going to drive the ball each time up. At first base David has soft hands and an easy arm action. He makes a good target for infielders, but will need to improve his range. David is a player that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
