Robert Lewis is a 2008 1B/OF/C with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Boise ID, who attends Boise High School. He has a lanky, athletic build on a projectable frame. Lewis looks like he has a chance to develop into an offensive corner bat. His swing happens easily and he maintains a flat plane. Lewis has some bat speed and shows some strength, resulting in some present day power, with a hint at more in the future. He stays pretty short to the ball and then gets the bat head through contact. He is the type of hitter that can miss the barrel and still make good contact. Lewis is not a runner per se' but he ran the bases well and got good jumps on the basepaths. Defensively his hands work and he moves to the basball aggressively, showing some feel and good technique. Lewis is a good student and a versatile player, with a bat that looks like it will play at the college level.
