2007 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Nicolas Nazer is a 2010 C/3B/1B with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Davidson, NC who attends Northwest Cabarrus HS. He has a broad shouldered build with good present strength for his age. Nazer hit the ball very well at the showcase and used his strength well. He has a busy load at the plate and inconsistent timing but showed the ability to handle the bat head and make hard contact to all fields. He was an aggressive hitter to hit with some confidence. What position Nazer will play is an open question. He did not throw the ball well at all, it looked like the ball was laying back in the palm of his hand when he threw. Nazer also didn't run well. Basically, it didn't look like he was healthy except when he was swinging the bat and he may not have been as he didn't return for the second day of the showcase. His bat is worth following, though.
