Buck William Anderson is a 2026 C/3B/MIF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Texarkana, TX who attends Pleasant Grove. Medium, athletic looking frame with lean muscle throughout and plenty of time to fill out. Recorded a 7.53 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that receives from a fairly even base with soft hands, a direct mid-line transfer and some quickness out of the crouch. Works slightly uphill into a short arm action and recorded arm strength up to 70 mph from behind the plate during drills. Secondary third baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates deliberate footwork to range laterally, displays a clean funnel out in-front and worked into a higher release. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with tight hands, a high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Whole field approach with some feel for the barrel, looseness to his hands and plenty of present bat speed. Simple, low-effort swing that he repeats well, consistent bat-to-ball skills. Solid, projectable prospect with upside on both sides of the ball, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments, refinement of his defensive skills and additional strength.
