Brayden Richards is a 2025 1B/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson. Features a bigger build with strength present. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman. Shows the ability to make the routine play. Has quality rhythm into the catchpoint. Clean exchanges and a strong arm produce accurate feeds. Reached 82 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a slightly open base. Shifts weight onto the backside using a toe tap timing mechanism. Swings on a flatter path with plenty of strength at contact. Showcased quality power during in game action. Right-handed pitcher. Shows a high hand set into a belt-high leg lift. Throws from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball got up to 81 mph. Has some later life at times. Tight, mid-70’s slider showed short, horizontal action. Will spin slower, mid-60’s curveball to get hitters out front. Can create depth with quality 11-5 action when spun well. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
