Dana Mayes -- Mayes is a 5-10 second baseman with good strength and a nice bat for the college level. Mayes has a quick, level swing with good lower body action and the ball jumps off his bat very well on contact. He shows an above average ability to make consistent solid contact. Mayes defensive skills are playable. He runs well and shows good instincts. He has enough arm strength for second base but could improve a little on his footwork. Interesting follow.
