Nicholas Hulen is a 2025 RHP/SS with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Cicero, IN who attends Hamilton Heights. He ran a 8.22 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with an average frame to build on moving forward. On the mound he starts with a side step into the delivery while staying tall on the back side. The arm action is tight through the back working up to a three-quarters slot creating cutting action on the fastball 68-74 mph throwing it to the glove side. He showed a curveball as his secondary offering with 12-6 shape in the low 60's, the curveball has potential for more bite as he creates more extension out front with the release. On the infield he receives the ball with a wide base and the hands out front. He showed a longer transfer traveling into his throws with a shuffle as the arm works short through the back doing a nice job getting on top of the baseball. Right-handed hitter, starts open with high hands, the barrel works tight to the body impacting the inside part forte baseball with developing bat speed. The bat plane stays level keeping the head on the zone a long time. Very good student.
