Hunter Cross is a 2008 3B/2B/1B with a 6'2'', 190 lb. frame from Grove Hill, AL who attends Clarke HS. He has a strong physical build and could get stronger. Cross hits out of a narrow set up and has a quick, whippy swing that produces gap to gap power and late bat speed out front. He starts his swing with his bat laid wrapped around his shoulder, which is going to cause issues as pitcher's improve, but he has the raw talent to make adjustments. Cross is a solid defensive third baseman with good arm strength across the diamond. Making adjustments with his trigger/start with the bat will be key to his development.
