Ben Sink is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Marine, IL who attends Father McGivney Catholic. Recorded a 7.20 second sixty yard dash time. Taller kid with a bigger frame and build. Primary outfielder gathers cleanly with a longer arm action and some looseness through the back. Working uphill a bit with an in-line arm action. Smooth path into release with low and on-line throws. Moves laterally fine with easy arm strength. Also threw an inning on the mound. The left-handed pitcher works from the stretch-only from the first base side of the rubber. Quick leg lift up to the midsection and a medium stride and hands go belt to chest before he breaks into a slightly offline arm path with a low three-quarter release. The fastball (1999 RPM) was 79-80 and showed running life and living on the end of barrels. Commanded the outer half of the plate well. Also showed a 2-7 shaped slider (2426 RPM) that was upper 60s with some abrupt movement late with intriguing spin metrics and tunnels it effectively. Has the slider on a string. Flashed a well-replicated fading change-up (1370 RPM) that kills spin. Mixes and sequences well and has a feel on the mound. Will see an uptick in the velocity as he physically matures. Left-handed hitter starts from a narrow open base with high hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger working inward to it. Good strength and ability to lift the ball. Consistent on-plane stroke with loud barrel to the pull-side and gets extended and attempt to create leverage out in front. A ton of like from the operation and good barrel awareness. Really fluid stroke. Quick path to it. Exciting player with a high ceiling. Great student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase (Sunday) Top Prospect List.
