Justus Schmidt is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 172 lb. frame from Ellensburg, WA who attends Ellensburg. Medium size athletic build. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder with footwork direct to the baseball, hands stab some, clean transition to throws, control the body well moving to both sides and shows the ability to make all the routine plays with solid average arm strength and accuracy. Hit from an even base with leg lift timing at the plate. Pushes the hands through the zone some but has natural hand speed and put together some in sync swings with a linear bat path on his best stings. Some feel for the barrel and used the middle of the field in his round of BP. Athletic movements with a three-quarter arm slot on the mound and loose arm action. Fastball up to 81 during his outing with the ability to locate it to different quadrants of the zone. Breaking ball has slurvy shape breaking across the zone and the change up showed some late fading action. Some promise as a two-way player going forward. Excellent student.
