Doug Kincaid is a 2008 OF with a 6'0'', 195 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Jesuit HS. He has a stocky strong build that is pretty mature. Kincaid is a hitter, pure and simple. He has an extremely aggressive approach at the plate and takes a full effort swing from a spread/no stride approach. At first glance it looks like Kincaid would have to cut down his swing to have any success against good pitching but the more you see him the more you realize that his swing is actually pretty simple and short to the ball. You also notice that Kincaid had no problem turning around low 90's fastballs and pulling them hard. Kincaid's whole approach is power/pull and it will be fairly rare for him to hit opposite field. There are tons of home runs in Kincaid's bat in the future with is bat speed and approach. Kincaid is a good athlete but will likely be see lots of left field in the future. He's a very good student who has a verbal commitment to Oregon State.
