Charlie Sauer is a 2008 OF/C with a 6'0'', 185 lb. frame from Portland, Oregon, who attends Lincoln High School. Sauer has present strength in his body. Defensively he has short arm action on his throws from the outfield, but he shows solid arm strength at 79 mph. Sauer gets to the ball well showing speed. He also ran a solid sixty time. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an average base with a quick load and a leg lift trigger. . Sauer shows bat speed through the hitting zone, and he has solid swing mechanics. He showed the ability to hit the ball to all fields. Sauer gets leverage at the point of contact giving him projectable power. He is a good student as well.
