Trevor Kniskern is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Lighthouse Point, FL who attends Pompano Beach High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a long, lean, and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.00 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front with soft hands that play well at ball, quick transfer into full arm action, long and balanced strides ranging to either side, gets into a good fielding position, accurate throws across with arm strength that will continue to develop. Also pitched, begins with a side step moving into delivery, full arm action through back with whip and looseness working to extended three-quarters arm slot. Generates plane to fastball with running life, topped out at 84 mph, steady tempo to delivery with late acceleration towards the plate. Flashed 11-5 curveball at 70 mph and turned over nice changeup with fading life from same arm slot at 75 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Full swing path with quick hands. fluid through the zone with leverage out front at point of contact. Projects nicely with physical strength, gets extension out front with sound carry when squared, shows a nice feel for the barrel. Fires hips well through swing and shows nice power potential moving forward. Outstanding student.
