Alexander Almonte is a 2025 SS/MIF/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Newark, NJ who attends St. Mary's. Almonte works from a medium build with additional projection remaining. Starting from the OF, he worked through the ball aggressively with compact actions and a shorter arm stroke, ultimately topping out at 79 mph. Consistently produced one-hop accuracy on the bag. From the IF, Almonte continued to show attacking footwork with clean funnels and reliable glove work. Has some room to loosen up the arm action a bit for a more consistent release and additional accuracy. On the mound, started from the 1B side of the rubber remaining balanced through the operation, releasing from a 3/4 slot. He located in the zone effectively with the FB up to 75 mph. CB recorded spin at 1704 rpm. Offensively, the righty started from an even quiet base and flashed a direct bat path through the zone for constant impact back up the middle of the field. He utilized a no stride approach and repeated the stroke well with carry and backspin generated. Posted an exit velo of 79 mph. Ran a 7.36 sixty yard dash.
