2023 PG Softball Oklahoma City Scouting Combine
Caitlyn Rangel is a 2024 OF/RHP from Longmont, CO who attends Longmont. Caitlyn showcased her ability to take control of the outfield at our Oklahoma City combine this June. Arm strength is something that caught my attention with her play on defense. She does a great job keeping the ball on a line and has a strong velocity on her throw to each bag. She also does a great job with her footwork as she moves through ground balls in the outfield. As she continues to work on her first step back she will continue to see her outfield range increase. Offensively, she is a right handed stand in hitter who has tremendous hand speed to the ball. Very quick barrel and generates great pop off the bat. Caitlyn is a player who does not get cheated at the plate and will make a pitcher pay if they miss over the plate. Overall, Caitlyn has a high ceiling and as she continues to work and get better I believe she has the opportunity to play this game at the collegiate level.
