Mason Heller -- Heller is a medium framed junior right handed pitcher from Georgia who threw 3 innings for us in Fort Myers. He’s a strike thrower with both his fastball and curveball. He did a very good job of staying ahead of hitters and getting quick outs. Heller’s fastball was steady in the 79-81 mph range and was pretty straight. His curveball was his best pitch at 70-73 mph, it had tight bite to it and nice velocity. Heller has a couple of mechanical issues that could be ironed out that might improve his fastball right away and he’s going to get stronger, too. He appears to be a good athlete with good body life, which will help him with his adjustments. Mason is a very good student and he could easily develop into a highest level college pitcher. He's athletic and showed a very strong bat as well.
