Jackson Williams is a 2016 C/SS with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Latta, SC who attends Latta HS. Strong, compact build with good present strength and athleticism. Ran a 6.82 60-yard dash. Very good hitting tools with bat speed, quick hands, strength in wrists. Aggressive approach, can get out in front at times, very good feel for barrel, solid middle of field approach, consistent hard contact, shows developing pop and carry, jump off the bat. Primary catcher, fluid actions, quick feet, very good receiving, strong arm with accurate throws. Also pitched in this event, uses leg lift delivery with deliberate pace, builds momentum throughout to a 3/4 release point. Good armspeed and arm strength, ran fastball up to 84 mph, pitch has tailing life to arm side. Also worked in soft 12/6 curveball and slider with more tilt, gloveside action. Good athlete that bears watching. Named to Top Prospect List. Very good student.
