Joey Gennusa is a 2016 OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood HS. Short compact build, has some present strength. Left handed hitter, mechanically sound with a calm and consistent approach, has a loose swing with present bat speed, stays short to the ball and makes hard pull line drive contact, showed a two strike approach in games and had a plan at the plate. Good runner, 6.73 in the 60, sound fundamentals on defense as well, clean actions through the ball, quick and in sync footwork with accurate on line throws that carry. Very advanced defensive actions. Overall a very polished player who plays with confidence and has the tools to back it up. Good student.
