Tim Bechtold is a 2016 OF with a 5-10 152 lb. frame from Copperas Cove, TX who attends Copperas Cove HS. Slender young athletic build, quick twitch athletic actions. 6.94 runner, gets very good jumps in the outfield and has plus range, stood out defensively with multiple difficult catches, has good arm strength with accurate throws, high level centerfield talent. Right handed hitter, late pull back load, lacks strength at present but has quick hands and creates some barrel speed, loose extension out front, can use lower half more, projects as a hitter. Defensive tools and instincts will carry him. Good student.
