Carter Pool is a 2020 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Keller HS. Medium frame with wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary catcher with a balanced stance while receiving the baseball. Showed quick footwork while gaining ground towards the bag. Quick, clean exchanges and released from a compact arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag at 74 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.03. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and leg lift trigger. Employed a fluid, line drive barrel plane through extension. Showed good barrel quickness through extension with present feel for the zone. Consistently worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a simple, compact delivery. Released from a near over top arm slot created good downhill plane with run to arm side in the low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with good spin and depth. Displayed good feel for breaking ball and consistently landed offering to the bottom of the zone. Worked quickly while on the mound and induced weak contact. Very good student as well.
