Tyler Guilfoil is a 2018 RHP/MIF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Lafayette. Large, lean frame with athletic look; very good pitcher's body with excellent projection remaining. More compact with arm stroke through the back to three quarters slot release, controlled effort through delivery, is deceptive in both delivery and arm action, hides the ball quite well to release. Fastball worked 83-86 mph with good angle, did a very good job of pounding downhill to the arm side with the pitch. Has very good feel for his curveball, thrown with 11/5 shape and sharp depth, did a very good job of throwing for strikes as well as burying it as a chase pitch. Flashed changeup as well, pronated well at release with late dive to arm side. Pounded the zone with three pitches and was efficient through his time on the mound. Very good student, verbally committed to Lipscomb. Named to 2017 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
