Justin Crispino is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Commack, NY who attends Commack. Recorded a 5.27 second forty-yard dash time. Smaller, compact frame with well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary outfielder, exhibits smooth footwork into the fielding process, while fielding properly off his front foot and gathering cleanly. Maintains momentum well through release, high 3/4's arm slot and some carry on his throws. Recorded arm strength up to 80 mph during drills. Secondary left-handed pitcher; full windup delivery with short side-step rocker into a high leg lift and good usage of his lower half down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 78 mph from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Works downhill through the zone with fastball that flashes late sinking action to it. Consummate left-hander that sequences well, mixing both his fastball and curveball in for strikes. 2-7 shaped breaking ball has tight spin to it and good gradual depth through the strike zone. Left-handed hitter that hits from a well-balanced, even stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small hover trigger. Compact swing with consistent bat-to-ball skills, present bat speed and the ability to create line drive impact to all fields. Simple, repeatable swing that translates well into game action, flashing some gap-to-gap power potential. Fundamentally sound skill set with some present strength, will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and additional strength. Excellent Student.
