Eric Kline is a 2007 LHP/1B with a 6'3'', 202 lb. frame from Long Valley NJ, who attends Mt. Olive High School. Kline has a taller frame with a slender body and a strong core. Kline pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and uses a shorter arm action. He uses a drop and drive style delivery with a high knee lift at balance point. Kline rushes a bit through balance point which makes repeating his delivery difficult. Kline gets occasional gloveside cut on his fastball and keeps it on the same plane. He throws a 1/7 curveball with depth. His change-up gets good sink on it. Kline spots his fastball well and was around the plate with all his pitches. At the plate, Kline starts with a wide stance and swings from a crouch. He has flexed knees and uses leverage in his swing. He has a slight uppercut and has present gap to gap power. Defensively, Kline has easy actions at 1B and has arm strength.
