Cade Hamilton is a 2021 SS/ with a 6-3 187 lb. frame from Lexington, OH who attends Col Crawford. Larger frame with a lean, athletic build. High waist with some room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.30 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, showing a quick first step as he worked well around the baseball. Clean gather out front before he works into transfers. Shuffles into throws and then was accurate as he threw it 81 MPH across the diamond. Secondary Righthanded Pitcher, starting from a square stance to a side step and lift. Drop and drive mechanics as he went on to show a short, compact arm action. Three-quarter slot release and filled up the strike zone. Worked down in the zone. Fastball up to 77 MPH as he commanded it well. Also mixed in a curveball that he landed for strikes. Switch Hitter, Right Side, starting from an open stance with high hands. Throws hands at the baseball with a linear swing path. Looked to pull the baseball when he could. Left Side, similar stance to start as he is open. Medium leg lift and stride before showing a somewhat uphill swing path. Relying on upper half to create bat speed. Great baserunner as he proved he could create opportunities with is feet.
