2024 Puerto Rico National Showcases Qualifier
Sebastian Garcia is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR who attends Colegio Católico Notre Dame. Smaller young build. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves well to the ball and has a clean funnel out front, makes low on-line throws, plays under control. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a very short hands driven swing, contact approach with mid to opposite field contact, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. Also pitched, works from a simple low effort delivery with a high leg raise start and a 3/4's arm action. Fastball worked in the mid-70's with consistent running life. Tended to lower his arm slot on a change up with similar life to it. Curveball had mostly sweeping break to it but flashed some downer depth when he stayed on top of it. Mixed his pitches well and competed. Good student.
