Jacob Rogers is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood. Large frame with high-waisted, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.22 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, quick pace to delivery with efficient movements and tempo, compact arm stroke to 3/4 slot, good direction downhill, solid arm speed, fastball worked 82-85 mph with good life and command to all 4 quadrants of the strike zone, mixed in a slider with two-plane sharp bite, also turned over a quality changeup with fade. Pounded the zone and showed poise, good upside on the mound. Hit from wide spread stance, stationary lower half through swing, direct hand path, middle-pull approach. Worked out in the outfield, moves well, late glove with harder glove hand, clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Very good student, named to 2020 National Underclass South Top Prospect List.
