KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Alexis Brown is a 5'1, class of 2022 OF/MIF from Norwalk, IA who attends Des Moines East HS. Alexis is a noticeably twitchy, quick, and talented athlete. She shows advanced defensive skill at two positions and has a plus ability with a bat in her hands. Her athleticism was truly evidenced by her excellent 3.17 20-yard dash time. Her 1.09 5-yard burst also showed her first step explosion. A primary OF, Alexis showed a skill level that is absolutely college ready. She is quick to position and her ability to read the ball off the ball is exceptional. She plays through the fielding action with momentum. Her transition is clean and her 63 mph throws are powerful, firm, hold their plane and are consistently accurate. Her ability on the dirt is just as good and all the attributes she utilizes in the OF she brings to the IF. Quick feet. Sound positioning, Soft hands. A plus transition that is routine and smooth. A quick trigger to a strong arm that produces 63 mph throws that are highly accurate.. At the dish, the LHH is a slapper. She has a sound ability to bunt the ball which is obviously a big part of her offensive game. She has the right idea. She tracks the ball well to contact and has a sound idea of the strike zone. When in sync and her barrel stays flat and through contact, she is a force. She will be an on-base machine who should pressure defenses, steal bases, and score runs. Alexis is a plus upper class prospect who should get the chance to continue her career at the next level, Positive actions/attitude and college ready skill.
