: Brynn Cassady is 5’2. Class 2027, OF/IF from West Liberty, IA who will attend West Liberty HS. She is a quick twitch athlete who assuredly will see gains in her speed and strength as she physically matures. She has above average speed and quickness as evidenced by her 3.17 20 yard/60 foot dash and an impressive 5.28 shuttle run. Defensively she is developing into a fundamentally sound outfielder. Her first step quickness to position is impressive. Her glove plays well, and she transitions quickly. She shows sound present arm strength that will only get better. Her throws are consistently accurate. At the plate, Brynn is a solid, contact-first, prospect who has a quick trigger and noticeable strength in her hands. Her short, compact, and quick swing operation, coupled with a flatter swing path, allows her to spray line drives to both gaps with consistent effort – she unquestionably is a top of the order, contact first, get on base, steal a bag, and create runs kind of prospect – can see a big future for Brynn with continued development, experience, and exposure to higher level play (cjm).
