Ashlynn McConnell is a 2026 C/2B, SS from Blue Springs, MO who attends Blue Springs South. Ashlynn show cased her ability to not only take control behind the plate, but that she has the ability to take control of a game with her power at the plate. Ashlynn is a young catcher who has a good presence behind the plate. Moves well out of the squat on bunts with her footwork and does a great job getting her body around the ball on her frames. Her best pop time to second was a 2.15 and she will continue to see this number to decrease as she continues to work on her quick transfer out of the glove. Overall she does a great job controlling the game. Offensively, she is a right handed power hitter who does a great job making consistent contact to all sides of the field. Once she found her timing she started to elevate the ball and show big power. She has a good balanced swing and does a great job staying in her lower half. Overall Ashlynn is a great player with a lot of great tools that she brings to any line up. As she continues to get stronger she will have a big future ahead.
