2010 Top Prospects

Matthew Meier  RHP - 2010 - St. Charles, MO

The college senior pitched in the 89-92 range with a short quick arm action. Fastball had good arm side run down when down in zone and flashed a tight 11/5 curveball with late break.


2012 Top Prospects

Geoff Hartlieb  RHP - 2012 - Highland, IL
Lindenwood University

The college prospect showed the most advanced pitching today pitching int he 90-93 range with good down hill plane. Arm works well and had feel for a tight slider with late break. Knew how to pitch and had an easy two innings.

Ryan Perez  BHP - 2012 - Hampshire, IL
Judson University (Illinois)

The most interesting pitcher at the event as he was listed as a BHP (Both Handed Pitcher) and he did not disappoint from either side. He was 90-91 from both sides with a full Fernando Valenzuela type delivery. Curveball had good shape from both sides and mixed in a sinking change up.

Matthew D'Ariano  RHP - 2012 - Yonkers, NY

The last pitcher of the showcase showed very well throwing in the 90-93 range with his fastball that showed good cut when down in the zone. Delivery is clean and has a quick arm and works down hill. Has feel for a sharp curveball with good depth.

Jacob Stenberg  C - 2012 - Atkins, IA
Upper Iowa

Showed solid catch and throw skills, and threw out two runners during the game with a quick transfer and release. His body does tend to drift to third a bit but throws are on the bag. He also showed quick hands at the plate and made solid contact.


2013 Top Prospects

Jay Feliciano  OF - 2013 - Arecibo, PR

Has a strong athletic build, threw 94 from the OF and showed a strength at the plate and the ability to drive the baseball to all fields.

Addison Russ  RHP - 2013 - Amarillo, TX
Houston Christian University

The lean JC pitcher has a body that will continue to add strength to it, pitched in the 89-92 range with a quick arm. Has good feel for a 78-79 MPH change up with late sink and run. His curveball showed good potential at times with sharp 11/5 shape.


2015 Top Prospects

Shane McClanahan  LHP - 2015 - Cape Coral, FL
South Florida

With a very projectable build, this Florida Prep Left hander showed a lot of upside on the mound pitching consistently 88-91 with a loose arm action. The fastball had good late life and mixed in a slider that shows potential with late break and good tilt and showed feel for a change up with arm side run. Velocity projects and has chance to throw in mid 90's with an easy delivery.

Alec Bohm  3B - 2015 - Omaha, NE
Wichita State

Has a strong athletic build and moves well for his size. Good arm across diamond, throwing 87 during work outs, but look more comfortable playing his natural spot at 3B during the game. Also had one of the better rounds of BP driving the ball to all fields with raw power.

Doran Turchin  OF - 2015 - Oak Creek, WI
Illinois

Turchin has a mature approach at the plate with raw power, he hit the only home run in the game and followed up with a hard line drive single in his next at bat. Has an athletic body with room to fill out and has great bat speed. Also ran a 6.63 sixty and threw 94 from the OF.

Daniel Tillo  LHP - 2015 - Sioux City, IA
Arkansas/Iowa Western CC

Has a projectable build and pitched well in his two inning sthrowing 87-90 with arm side run when down in zone. The uncommitted Senior has a lot of upside on the mound.

D'Quan Matthews  OF - 2015 - Orlando, FL
Bethune-Cookman

Ran a 6.77, threw 93 from the OF and 92 from the INF using smooth actions at both positions. Hit from an open stance and strides to square, stays inside ball well and showed ability to drive balls to all fields.

Cole Baker  RHP - 2015 - Grimes, IA
Iowa

Baker finished his Perfect Game Career at Pre-Draft and continued to show the improvements he has made in his delivery with an easy online delivery. Fastball has good movement down in the zone, he will be an interesting prospect to follow.

Christopher Comito Jr  RHP - 2015 - Norwalk, IA
Iowa

The Iowa recruit pitched in the upper 80's topping at 89. The lean projectable build with allow him to add strength to his frame and increase the velocity. He has a quick arm action and flashed curveball potential with good shape and break.

Bryant Jordan  RHP - 2015 - Fredericksburg, TX
Abilene Christian/Howard College

The Missouri recruit showed good tools on the mound pitching in the 86-88 range topping at 90 with a good down plane angle to the plate and arm side run. Curveball showed good shape. Has good upside on the mound.

Canice Ejoh  OF - 2015 - Brampton, ON CAN
Cochise College

Showed a quick swing with good line drive plane. Stays inside the ball well with hands and makes good solid contact, ran a 6.97 sixty. has good upside at the plate.

Jordan Holloman Scott  SS - 2015 - Conyers, GA
West Virginia

Ran an impressive 6.45 sixty and threw 87 from the OF and INF during the work out. Stays on baseball well and uses whole field with line drive swing plane.

Robert Neustrom  OF - 2015 - Sioux City, IA
Iowa

Showed good skills during the workout running a 6.81 sixty and threw 86 from the outside. He also has good upside at the plate showing good bat speed with raw pop from a line drive swing plane.

Noel Cheneau III  OF - 2015 - New Orleans, LA
Alabama State/Spartanburg Methodist College

Ran a 6.57 sixty and threw 85 from the OF and 89 from the INF. Has smooth hands on the INF. At the plate, showed an aggressive swing with good bat speed.


2016 Top Prospects

Alec Marsh  RHP - 2016 - Milwaukee, WI
Arizona State

Marsh has good upside on the mound as this 2016 has a good pitching build with room to fill out. He pitched in the 87-89 range and mixed in a sharp cutter at 85. Fastball had good life when down in the zone. Will be an interesting to see his development over the next year.


Free Agents Top Prospects

Luvin Valbuena  C - Free Agents - Maracaibo Venezuela, VE VEN

Was the best defensive catcher at the showcase showing advanced skills behind the plate. He popped a 1.84 and threw 80 from behind the plate using quick feet to get in to position and also had a very clean transfer and release with everything on the bag. Showed a line drive swing plane at the plate.
