Turney is one of the best hitters in the 2017 class. He has big left handed power at the plate and also shows the ability to make swing adjustments and square up tough pitches. He was also up to 87 mph from the mound.
Kyle Hurt

Hurt was outstanding in his two inning appearance, working at 89-92 mph and showing lots of confidence and command of his 76 mph curveball and 81 mph change up. He's a mature pitcher now and will keep getting better.

Abel's present velocity doesn't stand out at 84-86/T87 but he is very young physically and projects big. What makes him one of the best pitching prospects in the class is his outstanding change up, potential plus curveball and advanced feel for pitching.

Allen is always fun to watch play, as he understands the game like a big league veteran and plays with energy. A part of his game that stood out this event was his base running instincts and aggressiveness.

Lewis is a very high level athlete with running speed and the strength to drive the ball to all fields. He's a shortstop now but his future position is likely either second base, where is actions and arm stroke works very well, or centerfield.

Fisher is a very projectable 6-5/180 southpaw who is already working in the 86-88 mph range while showing feel for both his curveball and change up and throwing strikes with all three pitches. He's a high ceiling talent.
Ryan Vilade

Vilade took a monster of a batting practice, showing huge power and bat speed from the right side. He also looked more athletic and comfortable at shortstop than the last time we saw him, although a 6-2/188 he might outgrow the middle of the field.

Gonzalez' present strength and bat speed separates him from most of his peers and the ball just comes off his bat differently than most. His right handed swing mechanics are very sound as well.

Washington has some of the best power in the 2017 class and his hitting approach seems more and more balanced as the summer goes on. He played well in the corner outfield spots on defense.

Hutchinson is a 6-6/230 primary first baseman but his future for scouts is clearly on the mound. He threw 88-91 mph bowling balls with serious heavy sink and complimented his fastball with a sharp slider.

The 6-1/165 Simonelli has a fast and loose arm that produced an 86-89 mph fastball. His best secondary pitch was a 77-81 mph change up that had big diving action at times and he also threw a mid-70's curveball.

Uselton looks like he comes from baseball central casting with his athletic 6-3/195 build and high level athleticism. He has leverage in his right handed swing and big future power potential.

Ross's arm strength from the outfield is top of the grading scale and his work on the mound was very interesting, although he is still a position first prospect because of his overall athleticism.

Melendez has all the physical tools to a top prospect catcher, especially on defense, where his athleticism stands out.
Conner Nurse

The 6-5/190 Nurse has a high ceiling arm that produced a steady upper 80's fastball with big downhill angle. He'll need to improve his breaking ball but had natural cutting action on his fastball that bodes well for a future power slider.

Baz is a very projectable athlete with two-way potential. It wouldn't surprise anyone if he developed into a mid-90's thrower on the mound, although he has plenty of work to do with his command and secondary pitches.

Zimmerman is a very large young man at 6-5/245 but he has nice athleticism on the mound and a low effort delivery and release. He threw in the upper 80's with command and had a sharp breaking ball.

McConnell has plenty of polish to his overall game and especially stands out with his bat and approach at the plate. He'll be an above average offensive middle infielder.

Fernandezees is very raw on the mound but there is potentially a special arm there when he gets more instruction and innings. He topped out at 90 mph and worked in the upper 80's easily.

One has to appreciate Sanguinetti's approach at the plate, where is very aggressive with big left handed bat speed and is looking to do harm to the baseball every time he swings.
Jacob Riordan

Riordan's arm action is long and loose and very projectable. He worked at 83-85 mph with a very nice change up and should continue to improve for years to come.

Arzaga is a Mexican citizen who is eligible to sign now as an international free agent but who plans on attending Eastlake High School if he doesn't sign before school starts. He pitched at 90-93 with an impressive 80 mph slider that had depth and bite.
