Craig Konrardy is a 2012 OF/3B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Waterloo, IA who attends Columbus. Medium frame with plenty of present strength. Right handed hitter with a crouched, open stance and quiet front side trigger. Launches lower half with rotational mechanics producing some shift into contact. Primarily generates bat speed due to top half strength. Compact, line drive swing plane with a mid-field approach. Shows solid barrel control and hand skills with ability to hit to all fields with some pop to the gaps. Worked out defensively from the infield as well as the outfield. From the outfield shows and compact arm action with a quick release from a three-quarters arm slot. High energy throwing mechanics producing on line, accurate throws topping at 85 mph. From the infield shows high energy actions with atheltic footwork while surrounding the baseball. Plus range to both sides with clean glove action while funneling and working through exchange. Shows a quick, compact release from a similar three-quarters arm slot topping at 84 mph. Good student. Recently graduated from Coe College.
