Beckett Gurian (2025, Marshville, N.C.) is a left-handed hitter who handled the bat well on Sunday, finding a couple of barrels and piecing together a couple of nice swings. Gurian sets up with a slightly spread base and the barrel wrapped. He lifts the leg and uses a pretty simple operation overall. He strides into contact with direct hands and a good bit of strength to barrel the ball up and drive it in the air, especially pull-side. It’s a pull approach, and the results can be loud when he gets his pitch. Gurian tallied a ground-rule double on Sunday and pieced together a two-hit performance.
