Fielding
- INF - Quality actions to build on. Gets around and through the ball flashing some foot quickness. Soft hands at reception with clean funnel but present glove tap and reshuffle hurt some quickness to release. Shorter arm action that got off accurate throws with good strength across for his level. Recommend doing practice reps with more urgency where you try to eliminate any extra movements to the actions.
- C - Strong catch/throw skill. Quick, easy, and efficient exchange. Is a bit tall at reception. Gains good ground during his quick shuffle and sets good direction. Throws were accurate to the bag using a shorter AA and exhibited avg. strength for his level. Arm at times got inside of 90 degrees somewhat, could maybe afford to lengthen it out a bit on throws here. Framing ability was also present during gameplay.
Hitting
- Sits in a wider/athletic stance. Uses a leg kick trigger from both sides that got the body into an athletic launch but with late timing where the hands had to rush into the swing causing a majority of deeper contact foul balls. Swing path itself was compact/direct into the zone with some length post contact. He does rotate fast and there's adv. quickness to the hands but when you are late to launch it's hard to over correct that with just bat speed. Best results were hard LDs back up the box.
-Would recommend maybe simplifying the lower half move to a possible toe tap or just smaller forward stride instead of the bigger leg lift with the focus on just getting that foot down on-time more consistently.
