Philip Jacobs is a 2026 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 143 lb. frame from Carmel, IN who attends Westfield. Primary MIF with an athletic build. Has quick feet and showed good footwork working around the ball well. Showed good hands with clean funnel to chest and a quick transfer and release. Made most throws with good accuracy and strength behind them. Also pitched throwing from a standard 3/4 slot with cleaner arm action. Has a clean and compact delivery and moves well off the bump. Fastball showed good ASR to it with life. Went to a sweeping slider with more horizontal break and flashed a straight change. Can project a good bit off the bump here. Ran a 7.47 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a wider base starting slightly open. High handset starts far from head and body. Hands load back on the load. Uses a small toe lift for timing and rhythm. Has good rhythm in the box and maintains good balance throughout the process. Has a nice level swing with bat speed and could launch at times. Could impact it well when on time. Good student.
