Joshua Crisosto is a 2008 RHP/3B/OF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Palo Cedro CA, who attends Foothill HS. He has a bright future on the mound and possibly as a position player too. Crisosto has a lean, wirty strong, and well-proportioned athletic build. There is still physical projectability and that makes him even more interesting. He has a quick arm and an athletic delivery. He does not really use his lower body much, suggesting that he can get more velocity if he can learn to incorporate his lower half. Crisosto's 82-84 mph fastball has good run and at times some riding action. He showed good feel of his breaking stuff, with a particularly tight slider (77 mph). Even more impressive about his offspeed stuff is that it all comes out of his hand looking like the fastball. He could really come on quickly. At the plate his hands work well. He stays inside the ball and showed a good opposite field stroke, with an aggressive, balanced swing. Crisosto is the type of college prospect that keeps developing and by the spring of his senior year, has devleoped beyond many of the early sign prospects.
