Drake Poitras is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Danville, CA who attends San Ramon Valley. Features a medium build with some athleticism present. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder. Moves well in the outfield, showing the ability to create momentum through the catchpoint. Catches it cleanly out front. Was accurate consistently using a shorter arm action. Reached 82 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wide base stance with a high hand setup. Swings on a direct path with extension out front. Has solid gap to gap with strength when squared up. Still developing consistent barrel accuracy. Right-handed pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Stays under control well throughout simple delivery with tall and fall mechanics down the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball got up to 77 mph with slight armside run. Can generate whiffs at the top of the zone. Pairs it with a curveball at 57-61 mph with big, slurve action. Still refining the overall feel and bite of the offering. Very good student.
