Anthony Schieble is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from East Northport, NY who attends John Glenn. Recorded a 7.52 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill out. Primary left-handed pitcher that works from a fairly simple delivery with deception and some life to his full array of pitches. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 73 miles per hour and flashing some natural arm-side run. Throws from a high, almost over-the-top arm slot with developing command of the strike zone and secondary offerings. Secondary offerings are in the developmental stages with curveball flashing loose spin traits and changeup being thrown from a lower arm slot. Some projection remaining with chance to add velocity as he matures. Secondary first basemen with a solid defensive skill set, good footwork around the bag and accurate throws across the diamond. Fairly decent range with slight waist bend to field, soft hands out in front and good turns on double plays. Arm strength recorded up to 71 mph across in drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from an even base with a mid-height hand set and leg lift trigger. Middle-top-opposite field approach with developing bat-to-ball skills, inside-out hand path and best impact to the opposite field. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.
