WWBA South Invite Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Westin McDaniel (2027, Spicewood, Texas) had a good outing for GPS Legends going 3.2 shutout innings on 9ks. McDaniel has a lean and athletic frame with long limbs standing in at 6-foot-3 and works downhill well with an online delivery. He throws from a standard ¾ slot with a quick arm and clean arm action. Ball comes out free and easy. Fastball worked up to 87 with late life and good ASR. Located around the edges well showing good pitch-ability. He went to a slider in the 70-75 (2200 RPM) with good sweeping action to it. Projectable with smooth actions.
