Andrew Talbert (2027, Byron, Ill.) stood out this weekend with impressive efforts on both sides of the ball. Talbert provided a spark at the top of the order for BennieBoys Gold with 13 hits including six doubles, two home runs and coming around to touch home an impressive 14 times. Talbert consistently worked quality at bats with an advanced approach at the plate. Talbert is a quick-twitch athlete with a ton of pop in his bat and plus speed on the bases. Talbert starts with a narrow stance, gets deep in his load and gets his barrel on plane early. On the mound, Talbert worked quick with clean, repeatable mechanics. He has an over the top delivery with quick arm action and high effort delivery. Talbert collected eight strikeouts over seven innings pitched. Worked a two-pitch mix with a late breaking curv
