16u World Series Scout Notes: Days 1-3
Tyler Arafet (2026, Windermere, Fl.) was excellent on the bump in the playoff start for San Diego Padres Scout Team 16u. The right-hander threw five innings and allowed only two runs, punching out five. Arafet stands at a tall 6-foot-6, 205-pounds and has a live arm along with plenty of projection. The fastball topped out at 90 in the first frame, settling in the upper-80s. The arm is longer through the back and loose. The uncommitted righty spun the curveball at 73-74, landing it with comfort and good depth. The playoff performance was clutch and Arafet competes hard on the mound.
