2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Eric Kondrad is a 2026 C/1B/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Father Judge. A medium frame and leaner build with broader shoulders. Ran an 8.64 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who uses a side-saddle setup. He was on-line with the catch-and-throw, staying direct with his footwork. Clean with his actions working out of the crouch. His throws came from the ear with a longer arm action Threw 68 mph and produced a 2.22 pop time. Also worked out as a first baseman with squared shoulders on his approach. He got on top of his throws, throwing 72 mph across the diamond. He had shorter steps on the approach as he charged the ball. A right-handed hitter who worked with a slightly open setup, showing tighter hands and a high back elbow. Keeps a more spread base as he sets up. He stayed through it on an inside path, utilizing the whole field. Worked the opposite-field a bit during his round of BP swings as well. Good student.
