Rolando Calderon is a 2025 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Kansas City, KS who attends Bishop Ward. Recorded a 7.75 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a thick build. Primary catcher works from a side-step with offline footwork. Real compact arm action with a low three- quarter arm slot. Stands straight up with a quick transfer. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works with a leg lift up at the belt with a very segmented delivery. Longer through the back but then shorter and compact through a lower three- quarter arm slot. The fastball (2101 RPM) has a significant amount of life with tons of carry to it. The curveball (1975 RPM) with some side spin to it that straightened to a 12-6 cement mixer as the outing continued. Change-up (1759 RPM) with some depth to it. The right-handed hitter starts from an even base and a square stance, utilized a leg lift timing. Balanced swings that get on plane with a flat bat path. Primary pull-side approach with average bat speed and strength to impact the baseball. Polished approach. Intriguing player with upside. Great student.
