BCS Set to Kick off in Fort Myers

Top Teams to Battle for 14U BCS National Championship

58 teams from 15 different states (and one team from Puerto Rico) will convene in Southwest Florida on June 22 to contend for the 2024 14U BCS National Championship.

Among the 58 teams, many rank in the top 100 nationally with rosters featuring prestigious and prominent prospects.



The top-ranked team coming into the tournament is the Broward Bengals out of Davie, Florida. So far in 2024, their record stands at 60-8, meriting a No. 3 national ranking and a No. 1 ranking in the FL/PR region.

This lethal roster features No. 61 Cam Rakaczewski from Greencastle, Pennsylvania. With an on-base plus slugging percentage at 1.168 and a batting average at .397 for 2024 so far, Rakaczewski is the No. 13 shortstop in the country for the Class of 2028.

Playing alongside Rakaczewski, No. 63 Chase Potter out of Davie, Florida will look to continue swinging a hot stick, riding some momentum he’s built up to this point in the circuit. He’s racked up an astonishing 46 RBI with a 1.042 on-base plus slugging percentage and a .372 batting average.

Other dangerous names taking the field for the Broward Bengals include No. 131 Ryder Sowa and No. 162 Braxton Williams.

This skillful squad will play their first game on June 22 at 10:15 a.m. on Field 3 in JetBlue Park against CBU Force.

Another team with a No. 1 regional ranking comes from Alpharetta, Georgia in the southeast. The TG DBacks Scout Team rank one spot behind the Broward Bengals nationally at No. 4, but this team packs an immense amount of talent, power and versatility with a multitude of recognizable names.

One of those familiar names is Brandon Perkins Jr. The outfielder from Bowling Green, Kentucky is ranked No. 1 in his state and No. 22 nationally - making him the top-ranked player competing in this tournament. In 49 at-bats in 2024, he’s only been struck out twice, managing a .388 batting average and a 1.066 on-base plus slugging percentage.

The TG DBacks Scout Team also includes No. 36 Andrew Cochran from Johns Creek, Georgia, No. 56 Hunter Elmore out of Moundville, Alabama and various other identifiable and exciting names that are sure to demand attention.

Their first opportunity to amaze will come bright and early at 8 a.m. on June 22 against the VSA Sluggers on Field 5 in JetBlue Park.

A couple other names that are sure to turn heads are No. 24 and No. 25, Brody Costantine from Deltona, Florida and Isaias Torres from Oviedo, Florida.

In 50 at-bats, Costatine has contributed 16 RBI so far in 2024 with a 1.125 on-base plus slugging percentage and a .320 batting average. He will take the field with Sports Academy Florida 14U at 10:15 a.m. on June 22 at Clemente Field in Terry Park.

Torres has proven himself in a big way in 2024, getting a lot of time in the box with 114 at-bats and maintaining a .386 batting average and 1.233 on-base plus slugging percentage. The third baseman has hit a staggering 47 RBIs, but will look to increase that stat even more with SBA 2028 Torres at 8 a.m. on Field 1 in the 5-Plex County Player Development Complex.

Each team will play 5 guaranteed games - weather permitting - from Saturday, June 22 until Thursday, June 27 when a national champion will be crowned.

Locked and Loaded 18U Teams to Clash for 2024 BCS National Title

An abundance of talent will be on display in Fort Myers, Florida June 23-27 as 16 teams from across the country duke it out for a national championship.

With the two highest-ranked players going into the tournament, Sticks National will be the team to watch. Their roster includes familiar names like Hunter Carns, from Jacksonville, Florida. The Florida State commit is the No. 11 ranked player and No. 1 ranked catcher in the country for the Class of 2024.

Also on this menacing team is outfielder Jacob Kendall from St. Augustine, Florida. Committed to the University of Florida, Kendall is playing up this weekend - coming into the tournament as the No. 45 overall player for the class of 2025.

These are just two out of a multitude of talented guys for Sticks National - first battling on June 23 at 10:15 a.m. against the 954 Boys on Field 5 in JetBlue Park.

Hot hitters might meet their match when they go up against 6’5, right-handed pitcher Brett Crossland from Phoenix, Arizona. The Texas commit is the No. 7 right-hander in the country for the Class of 2025. Though he’s only pitched 8 innings so far in 2024, he’s already struck out 13 batters - reaching high-90s with his fastball. Crossland’s arm will be a huge asset to Chi Town Cream in this tournament.

However, Crossland isn’t the only talent Chi Town Cream will be counting on. Duke commit Jayden Stroman from Medford, New York will look to be a threatening presence at the plate. Ranked No. 43 in the country, Stroman has an on-base plus slugging percentage of .847 for 2024 so far in 8 games played and 25 at-bats.

There are many other sensational names featured on Chi Town Cream, including South Carolina commit Bruin Agbayani from Mililani, Hawaii. Agbayani is the No. 70 overall player in the country and the No. 22 shortstop for the Class of 2025 - ranked No. 1 in Hawaii.

The dangerous team from Chicago will first go up against SWFL Phantom on June 23 at 8 a.m. on Field 2 at 5-Plex Lee County Player Development Complex.

Weather-permitting, each team will play at least 5 games. Play-offs will begin June 26 and a champion will be named on June 27 in a final game in the Lee Health Sports Complex Stadium.
