Josh Gibbs is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Forsyth Central. Features a smaller build but with noticeable athleticism and sneaky strength that shows at the plate. Ran a 6.68 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed clean/solid actions. Displayed light feet that play in rhythm. Gets set into good fielding posture with soft hands at reception. Average quickness to release where he showed some effort/intent to get off real strong throws across (T94) where he used a longer AA. At the plate, he sits in a medium base with rhythmic hands. Uses a leg lift gather into his backside. The hands tip the barrel over homeplate before turning back and loading the barrel into some deep separation at launch. Showed big intent to catch it out front and lift which he succeeded in doing. Loose/fast wrists help create some serious bat speed. Barrel has a flatter entry and gets uphill into contact. Launched several to the pullside with multiple EVs over 105+, T110. Easy pullside HR power with advanced ability to backspin it. Committed to Georgia. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
