Bedell is an Iowa native whose pitching style is very similar to a former Iowa PG All-American Jeremy Hellickson, only Bedell has a bigger and more athletic frame. He sits in the the 91-93 mph range and has touched higher and his fastball, which has lots of running and sinking life. Bedell's best pitch is a hard curveball that has very tight spin and will take slider shape and velocity at times. His changeup is also a potential plus pitch, with the same type of movement that his fastball features.
