Championship play began on Wednesday at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City between two very talented teams: the #3 seed Banditos Scout Team 17U versus the #1 seed Dallas Patriots 17U Stout.

Houston commit Brandon Burckel (2021, Lindale, Texas) started off the game by beating out an infield single up the middle. There would be nothing to come from the single by Burckel as the top of the first inning came to an end. In the bottom of the first, the Dallas Patriots 17u Stout were held hitless by righthanded pitcher and Baylor commit Mason Marriott (2021, Tomball, Texas). Opposing Marriott was righthanded pitcher Blake Paradis (2021, McKinney, Texas) who would sit down the side in the top of the second inning.  In the top of the third inning Eduardo Garza (2021, Rio Grande City, Texas) hit a laser to centerfield but would be stranded on the bases to end the top half of the inning. Luke Sheppard (2021, Emory, Texas) would get his squad in the hit column in the bottom of the third with a single to right field.  Burckel reached second on an error in the top of the fourth inning and found his way to third base by way of a ground ball to second but was unable to score as Paradis pitched out of a jam.

Marriott stayed locked in during the bottom of the fourth and retired the side three up, three down. Michael Saumell (2021, Spring, Texas) hit a one-out double to right field in the top of the fifth inning to put runners at second and third for Banditos Scout Team 17U. Baylor commit Cody Howard (2021, Spring, Texas) would open the game up with an RBI single to right field making the score 1-0. An error on an attempted back pick to first base would plate two more runs in the top of the fifth innings for Banditos Scout Team 17u making it 3-0 over Dallas Patriots 17u Stout. In the bottom of the fifth the Patriots loaded the bases via a walk, a hit and an error. They would later plate a run on a sac fly by Dallas Baptist commit Cayden Phillips (2021, Amarillo, Texas) making the score 3-1. Again, with the bases loaded in the sixth inning, the Patriots hit a sac fly pushing the score to 3-2 with two outs.

The game would come to an end with the Banditos Scout Team 17u pulling off the victory over Dallas Patriots 17U Stout with a final score of 3-2.
