Ramsey would then get the scoring started with a single that drove Melton in from second base. The Tiger’s would also get singles from Trent Lyons, Hutson Guinn, and Malcom Shaw in the first on there way to opening up a big first inning lead. Jacob Lott got the start on the mound for the Tigers as he would make the five-run lead stand through the first two innings hanging two zeros for his club as the lefty used a healthy mix of fastballs and curveballs to keep a potent Knights lineup at bay. With two outs in the third inning Lott gave way to reliever Will McDaniel’s who would record the final out of the third to stop the put a stop to a Knights comeback attempt. McDaniel would go the rest of the way as he allowed just one more run through his four and two-third innings on his way to securing the Tigers spot in the championship game.

In the SGB Sox Prime 23, Top Gun Brooks semi-final SBG starter Carter Kimbrell put on a beautiful display of pitching at the young righthander went seven innings allowing no runs, on two hits, while striking out four. Kimbrell used a live fastball that topped out at 85 mph as he attacked the zone and let his defensive make the plays behind him. Offensively SBG was jump started in the second inning by an Ethan Pulliam single to lead off the inning. Thomas Nichols and Caleb Lipscomb would each follow with walk to load the bases for leftfielder Coleman Mizell. Mizell, hitting with two outs drove the second pitch he saw for a double to leftfield clearing the bases and putting SBG up 3-0. As Kimbrell continued to cruise through the middle innings, and late into the game he would get some more insurance from his offense in the seventh inning. Taking advantage of some defensive miscues in the seventh SBG would go on to add three more runs with some aggressive base running making the score 6-0. Kimbrell would make that score stand in the seventh stranding two Top Guns runners and locking up SBG’s spot in the championship game.

Kade Lipscomb started the game with a double to leftfield and would later come around to score on a hard hit ball from Kaden Irving. Doby Bartling, Ethan Pulliam, and Duncan Mathews would also pick up RBI’s in the first as SBG jumped out to a comfortable lead. SBG then turned to Thomas Nichols for the start on the mound.
