Prospect Meadows Scout Notes: July 24 | July 25 & 26

Monday was playoff day at the 15U Midwest World Series, and Ryan Jefferson (2023, Mokena, IL) had an outstanding performance across three games for the runner-up Cangelosi Sparks 2023 Black. While Jefferson has been solid throughout the entire event, the smooth left-handed hitter really showed off the bat-to-ball skills on Monday. The Illini commit was able to impact the ball to all fields, showcasing a direct path to contact and bat speed that allows the shortstop to see the ball deep and use the entire field. Defensively, Jefferson made his best plays on the charge Monday, staying athletic through the ball and flashing young arm strength that will continue to develop as the frame matures physically.
